Richard Bouvier

Passed away while surrounded by his loving family on October 13th, 2017 at the Timmins and District Hospital after a short battle with cancer at the age of 74.
Beloved husband of Claudia for 44 years. Loving father of Pauline Butler, Diane (Rolly) Hurtubise, Rick Bouvier Jr., and Darren (Lori) Bouvier. Pepérè of Jenifer Roy and Melanie Roy (Luc Cyr), Dakota, Bry, Tyrus Bouvier and Ryan Hurtubise. Great-grandfather of Chianne & Gracie Roy, Dominick & Brayden Laframboise and Samira Cyr. Dear brother of Claudette, Marlene, Carol, Gerry (Chrissy), Yvon, Sue (Paul), Debbie (Jeff), Linda (Don) and Denis (Pat). He will also be sadly missed by his two goddaughters Michelle Rochon-Corriveau and Jennifer Bouvier and many nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by his parents Rene and Florence Bouvier; his grandson Devon Hurtubise and his siblings Romeo, Clara, Conrad, Roger, Ronald and Maurice "Moe" Bouvier.
Richard loved the outdoors, camping and fishing. He enjoyed volunteering at the South Porcupine Food Bank for over twenty years and became president in 2009. Richard was thoroughly happy driving bus for Leuschen Transportation. Day after day he put a smile on the children's faces and in return they too lit up his life.
Donations to the South Porcupine Food Bank will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Joachim's Parish on Thursday October 19th 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon and fellowship to follow at St. Joachim's Parish Hall.
