Robinette Joanne

After a long battle with Friedreich's Ataxia and Multiple Sclerosis, I chose to meet death with dignity on November 14,2017, surrounded by my family.

I was predeceased by my father Roger Roy (1997), brother Andre (1966) and sister Louise (1990) Roy.

I leave behind my cherished son Nathan Robinette of Timmins, his father Joseph Robinette.

I also leave my beloved mother Estelle (step-father Reynald) Lafontaine; brothers, Larry and Dan (Lorraine) of Timmins and Dave (Lisa) Roy of Salt Spring Island, B.C., my nephew Brandon, niece Brittany and great nephew Quade Roy, all of Timmins, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Thank you to those who held my hand as I made the transition, my love for you will go on for eternity. I'd also like to thank my homecare workers from Red Cross and ABL as well as my nurses and PSW's at Extendicare. A special thank you goes out to my favorite PSW / friend Amanda Henry for being so helpful and my doctor/friend Larry Malo for always being there when I / we needed him. Thank you as well to Dr. Ditullio for her support.

As per my wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial service. I would like everyone to join together for a celebration of my life. My family will receive friends at St. Dominique Parish Hall on Saturday, November 18th 2-4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the MS Society would be greatly appreciated.
