1941-2019

The family announces with sorrow the unexpected passing of their mother Sandra at the Timmins and District Hospital on October 2nd, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Aurel Goudreau. Loving mother of Debbie Couture (Andy), David, Sandra (Mickey) Kreidl , Larry (Sherri), Diana Cushing (Ian)  , Rolly (Sherry). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Jason, Richard, Brad, Katie, Samantha, Kyle, Adam, Rory and numerous great-grandchildren. Cherished sister of William (Gabe) Strand, Leonie (Raymond) Goudreau, Loretta (Cyril) Guindon, Brenda (Ivan) Clouthier, Morris (Liz) Strand, and Darlene (Terry) Beyer. Sandra was predeceased by her parents William and Edna Strand.

 She worked for many years at the House of Yee. She would love spending time with her sisters and their husband's playing cards; this was a ritual for them. Her favorite saying was “whatever”. As her kids got older, they too were able to join in and play cards. She was an avid animal lover. She especially loved dogs and would allow her kids to take in strays.

Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

A Memorial Service will take place at the South Porcupine Legion Branch #287 upstairs at 12:00 pm on Monday October 7th, 2019 followed by a luncheon. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the South Porcupine Legion upstairs on Monday October 7th, 2019.
