1935-2022

The family announces with sorrow the passing of Antti at the Timmins and District Hospital on Monday May 9th, 2022 at

the age of 86. Beloved husband of Marja-Liisa (née Perttula). Loving father of Ari Harju-Panula of Sudbury, Leila (Ed) Katic and Anu Harju-Panula (Mike). Cherished grandfather of Ryan Katic of Thunder Bay, Mark Katic (Nikki) of Germany, Taylor Lamarche (Katie) of  Prince Edward Island, Wesley Lamarche (Leslie) of South Porcupine  and great-grandfather of  Kaisa and Zofia Katic and Leah Lamarche. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Aila Ranta-Fillipula(Esko deceased) of Timmins, Alma Makiranta (Arvo deceased) of Finland, Aarne Harjupanula (Sisko) of Sudbury, Vaino Harju-Panula (Railli) of Finland and many nieces & nephews in Canada and Finland. Antti was predeceased by his parents Valto & Aili , his  brother Vaino Harju-Panula and by his nephews Mika Harjupanula, Reijo Ranta, and Eric Ranta. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Thank you, to all the staff at Spruce Hill Lodge for their special care. Thank you, to Dr. Vaithilingam his family doctor for many years. Thank you, to Dr. Parr and the emergency nurses, Dr. Schwertfeger and hospice nurses who helped us through this difficult time. A Private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Stinson Funeral Home, 100 Bruce Avenue, South Porcupine, ON, P0N1H0 (705)235-2900 www.stinsonfuneralhome.net
