Brian Burns Obituary

In Loving Memory of Brian William Burns

May 6, 1947 – April 15, 2020

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Brian Burns of South Porcupine at the age of 72. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Linda (nee Brownlee), his children Sherri (Rick) Bellemare, Stephanie (Pete) Ducharme and Shannon (Tim) Fenerty. Cherished grandfather of Justin (Chantal ) Bellemare, Joshua (Reiley) Bellemare, Mathew Ducharme and Jesse Cloutier.

Survived by his sister Nancy Pitulko and brother Ken (Donna) Burns, brother in- law Roy (Jean) Brownlee and sister in-law Alvina (John) Sicoli.

Brian will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Predeceased by his parents George and Elnora Burns, his brothers Ron and Alan Burns and his brother in- laws Weish Pitulko and Al Brownlee.

His family would like to thank the many doctors, specialists and nurses who cared for him in the past few years, Dr. Parmar and his dialysis team at the Timmins and District Hospital and a special thank you to Dr. Vaithilingam, Kelly and Tina for your ongoing support, kindness and friendship.

Brian, a lifelong resident of the Porcupine area enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and driving the back roads with his best friend Charley.  Brian will be fondly remembered with many stories of Moose Island.

It has been a long battle and your pain is now gone. Rest in peace. Never forgotten, Always in our hearts.

Remembrance donations to the Kidney Foundation or the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
