The family of Cora M Coupland (Licthy) regret to announce her passing. The Family has lost the matriarch of family, the last of the Coupland elders on this day the 9th of February 2022.

Cora was born November 5th, 1939, and predeceased by our father Donnie Allen Coupland (Jan 23, 2015) and her three sons Edward James (Nov 4 1998) Calvin (1963) and Douglas (1958)

Cora leaves behind 4 children and their families; Kenneth (Lorraine)Coupland of Kamloops BC; Steve (Joanne) Coupland of Kirkland Lake ON; Kathy (Robert) Paananen of Porcupine ON; Randy (Doreen) Coupland of Holtyre ON; as well as a sister Nancy (Bill)Byrne of Kitchener and Brother Larry (Diane) Licthy of Guelph On. And numerous nephews and nieces throughout Ontario and across Canada.

She leaves us a sister in spirit; Karina Paananen, who opened her heart and her vacant home so that mom could be close to Kathy and her family these last few years. Her kindness and caring will not be forgotten. Mom was in a happy place her last few years.

Our mother was a memorable lady, she was all about family, she loved everyone of us no less than the other and opened her heart and home to many other children that were in need when approached by child services. She was hairdresser and had a shop for years in King Kirkland for a very mixed clients from women to men. Mom was always on the go as was dad they would do nighttime cleaning after hours at the store in king and she was always visiting seniors at the homes in Kirkland Lake to do their hair and nails.

Mom and dad will be together now watching over us with 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Our parents will be in our thoughts, our memories and in our hearts.

Love you mom, we know you have found peace with dad and the boys.
