In Loving Memory of
David Louis John Fenato
It is with great sadness and much love that the family of David Louis John Fenato (born February 22, 1943) announce his passing on November 3, 2022, in Timmins, ON at the age of 79. Survived by his sons Dave (Kamern) and Steve (Michelle), brother Bob (Jean) and sister Carol, and predeceased by his wife, Paula Ann Fenato, his parents Louis and Nancy Fenato, and brother-in-law Barry Martin. He will be missed by many lifelong friends, three grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Dave was a proud Scout Leader for many years. In his younger years he would work two jobs, one of them was bartending at the Airport Hotel, which landed him a starring role in a beer commercial filmed there. Dave was a dedicated Mine Rescue Team member throughout his career as a Surveyor in the Timmins mining camp. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending lots of his spare time hunting and fishing with his family and close friends. Many weekend trips were spent ice fishing at Nighthawk Lake. Dave also loved staking claims with his dear friend, Dave Meunier, and tending to his award-winning garden.
Memorial donations may be made in Dave’s name to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or any charity of choice. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the nurses, doctors, personal support workers of the TDH and St Mary’s Gardens for filling our father’s final days with comfort and compassion.
A celebration of life with family and close friends will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Stinson Funeral Home, 100 Bruce Avenue, South Porcupine, ON, P0N 1H0 (705)235-2900 www.stinsonfuneralhome.net
