The family announces with sorrow on the 27th day of August 2021 at the age of 61 of South Porcupine, ON.

Beloved soulmate of Andy Holopainen. Loving mother of Brad Couture (Tracey), stepmother of Renee Fleury (Kevin).

Cherished mémere of Haleigh, Adam, Chelsey, Calvin and BrookLynn. Bonus grandma to Teagan, Riley and Emma. Survived by Brad’s father Olay (Laurent) Couture.

Treasured sister of David Goudreau, Sandy Kreidl (Mickey), Larry Goudreau (Sherri), Dianna Cushing (Ian), Rolly Goudreau (Sherry).

Debbie is survived by many loving and special nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

She was predeceased by her son, baby Aurel, her parents, Aurel & Sandra Goudreau and by her mother in law Helen Holopainen.

Born, raised and worked in South Porcupine in the service industry. Debbie always enjoyed her role, taking pride, helping, building and encouraging anyone she met.

Debbie found her inner self and developed a love and appreciation of life, always caring for anyone that crossed her path. Talking, teaching about gardening and flowers, playing cards with her friends and always being the shoulder one needs. She discovered and overcame fears to make adventures and enjoy her time with the love of her life.  Para sailing, snorkeling, cruising the ocean, travelling, living, gardening, canning, cooking, family gatherings, loving and enjoying everything life offers with her soulmate, Andy.

The family would like to thank the Sudbury Northeast Cancer Clinic physicians. Dr. Pearce, Dr. Ali and Dr. Ravi Singh for all the tender care that they gave to Debbie.

A special thank you to her family physician  Dr.Vaithilingam, who took care of her during her journey will always be remembered for his kind - warm and sincere attention he gave Debbie.

Thank you to the caring staff at the Timmins Hospital for all your help in making Debbie’s as comfortable as possible during her stay at the hospital.

The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday September 1, 2021 at the Legion in South Porcupine from 12pm to 3pm. Covid-19 restrictions will apply.
