In Loving Memory of
Douglas Haacke
It is with immense sorrow and regret that we must announce the sudden passing of Douglas Haacke. Douglas was a dedicated professional who had achieved many milestones. One of which consisted of him working for more than forty years at the Kidd Creek Met Site. He had the honour of being part of the K40 Club which means that Douglas had been a valued member of the Porcupine Kinsman Club for more than forty years. He was described by many as the most selfless soul that they knew. Douglas had the patience of a Saint and the generosity too. He was the type of man to give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. He will be greatly missed by his sister Diane (Ross), children Tracy Haacke, Wayne Haacke (Cathy), Christopher Haacke, James Seale and Terry Seale. He was the loving role model and grandfather to Brandon Dysart, Devon Dysart, Tanner Dysart, and Derek Seale. Douglas will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Douglas is predeceased by his parents Marjorie and Clair Haacke. Douglas will be laid to rest next to his loving late wife of who he was married for 30 years, Barbara Haacke. Donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Canada will be gratefully acknowledged by the family in lieu of flowers. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday August 21st, 2020 with procession to follow to the Tisdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday August 20th, 2020 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. & 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Stinson Funeral Home, 100 Bruce Avenue, South Porcupine, ON, (705)235-2900 www.stinsonfuneralhome.net.
