In Loving Memory of
Gary Gagain Sr.
November 11th, 1942-September 24th, 2022
Gary Gagain Sr. passed peacefully the morning of September 24th, 2022, at the TADH hospice surrounded by family whom he loved deeply. Gary was a long-time resident of South Porcupine who worked in the mining industry for over 40 years and was well-known as a go-to equipment wiz. He was happiest when he was surrounded by his family and friends. His witty sense of humour and quick jokes always managed to fill any room with smiles and laughter. When Gary was around, you were sure to have a good time and a full cup. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved to camp, hunt, and fish. He is survived by his wife of 19 years Susan Rintamaki-Gagain who was by his side to the very end. He is also survived by his children Debbie Forget (Moe), Sheri Lacasse, Ricky Gagain (Jenafer), and Gary Gagain (Nicole) as well as his siblings Sandra Morrissette (Fern), Terry Gagain (Shirley), and Tim Gagain (Kathy) and his in-laws Mike Rintamaki (Carole), Debbie Dagenais (Mike), Marie Veikkola (Vessa), Jeff Rintamaki (Maureen) and Tracy Rintamaki (Andrew). He is predeceased by his parents Elwood and Laurette Gagain, sister Barbara, brother Michael, and sister Roberta. He will be deeply missed by 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He will also be missed by his fur companions, Charlie and Daisy. We would like to extend a special thank you to his home care team, especially Brittney Gagnon. A private celebration of life will take place amongst family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Terry Fox Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to Stinson Funeral Home, 100 Bruce Avenue, South Porcupine, ON, P0N1H0 (705)235-2900 www.stinsonfuneralhome.net
