Coott Gloria
1927-2020
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our wonderful mother, Gloria has left us to be with her true love, Harry.
Loving remembered by her children, Andrea (Les), Jeffrey & Steven, and by her best friend, Farley. Cherished grandmother of Christopher (Tracey), Candice, Jessica, and Samantha. Treasured great-grandmother of Daniel, Jacob, Taylor, and Kenneth. Also survived by her Aunt Irma.
She was predeceased by her son-in-law Kenneth Simpson, daughter-in-law Donna Coott and by her brother Arden Lewis. She will be fondly remembered by her special friends, Judy Perron, Karen Bradbury, Loretta Lavallee, Arlene Hanley, Bridget Ikola, and Vicki Hanninen.
Mom worked hard her whole life. She managed Palmer’s Jeweller’s for many years and volunteered since 1989 at the South Porcupine Food Bank. We will surely miss the many family meals where mom’s fabulous cooking and sparkling wit were enjoyed by all.
Many thanks to Dr. Judy Gillies for her years of care she provided our parents. Also thanks to the Timmins and District Hospital, the staff for their professionalism, especially Dr. Thomas, nurses Shannon and Trina, and the paramedics who attended our mother. A special thanks to Constable Rathbone for his help.
