Grant Chase Obituary

Chase, Grant

1930-2021

The family announces with great sorrow the passing of their father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Grant was predeceased by his parents Hewitt & Rita Chase-Wilson, his stepfather Len Wilson, and by his sisters Eileen, Yvonne, Gloria and Beverly. He was predeceased by his wife Helen (1990). Loving father of Douglas, Wade, Lynn (Lloyd) Labine, and Frank (Karen). Cherished grandfather of Jason (Lissa) Chase, Stewart (Amanda) Labine, Matthew (Lisa) Labine, Meghan Chase, Adam Chase and great-grandfather of Devin Chase, Logan Labine, Danielle Labine, Connor Labine and Peighton Chase. He will fondly be remembered by his sisters Marjorie and Sandy.

Grant started working for Miller Paving at 16 years of age and worked his way up as an exceptionally good heavy equipment operator and shovel operator. He then started working at Texas Gulf as a heavy equipment operator and specializing in shovels and cranes and retired in 1990 at 60 years of age. His plans of travelling and becoming a snowbird with his wife did not materialize after his wife passed shortly after his retirement. He built and liked to fly model airplanes and enjoyed a good game of pool at the Grandview with his buddies.
