Helene Bauman (née Poirier)
The family announces with sorrow the passing of Helene on Tuesday May 17th, 2022, at Villa Minto in Cochrane, ON at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Benjamin Bauman (1995). Helene is survived by her sons, John (Cecilia) McQuade, of Winnipeg, MB, Michael (Barbara) Bauman, of Cochrane, ON, her stepdaughter’s, Madeline (late Leonard) Bouchard, of Campbell River, B.C., and Jane Bauman, of Kingston, ON. Loving grandmother of 14 and great grandmother of 12. Cherished sister of Estelle (Roger) Thorn, of Timmins, sisters-in-law Georgia Poirier (Armand) of Winnipeg and Angie Poirier (Bob) of Timmins. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Lucien Poirier, mother Blanche (née Beliveau), her sisters Lorraine, Yollande, her brothers Aurele (Al), Armand, Bob and by her stepdaughter Margaret Bauman. Helene was an Honorary Member of the Timmins-Porcupine Rotary Club, Paul Harris Fellow (Rotary), Life member of Spruce Hill Lodge, and former member of Le Cercle Alouette. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
