July 14th, 1949 – December 8th, 2021
The family announces with great sorrow Harvey’s passing after a long courageous battle with cancer at the Timmins and District Hospital Hospice Unit on Wednesday December 8th, 2021.
He is survived by his loving partner of 32 years Celine Latour, his daughters Renée Monette and Joanne Popescu (Steve) and his grandchildren Stephane & Nathalie Duval. Great-grandfather of Rowan Bertrand. His brothers Adrien (Joan), Marcel (Josette), Rejean (Mona). His sisters Doreen Houle (Raymond), Rachelle Monette Poulin, Lorraine Lemieux (Roland), Linda Monette, Darquise DelCol (Chris). Will also be missed by his sister-in-law Hugette Monette and several nieces & nephews.
Harvey was predeceased by his parents Alexandre & Rose-Aimée (née Poitras) Monette, his brother Jean-Guy Monette and by his sister Viviane Cotnam.
As per Harvey’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will not be any services.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Timmins and District Hospital Hospice Unit will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
