1928-2022

The family announces with sorrow the passing of Into Armas Niemi on February 26th, 2022 at the Timmins and District Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Irma Johanna Niemi. Loving father of Aarno Niemi (Cathy Kruisenga), Irmeli Niemi, Kari (Renee) Niemi, Mari (Ron) Joiner, and Harry (Lorena) Niemi. Cherished pappa of Carolyn (Mike) Oknianski, Jacob Niemi, Jessica (Joe) Sztrimbely, Eliisa Joiner (Ben Scharf), Markus Joiner, Ronan, Aleksi and Nikko Niemi, and Iso-pappa of Caylee Oknianski and Brodie Sztrimbely.

Survived by his brother Kaino (Seija) Niemi and sister in law Eila Niemi. He was predeceased by his siblings Leila (Jorma) Saarimaa, and by Vilho Niemi. He will be missed by Mirjami Niemi and by Juhani Paulaharju.

Donations to the Kulta-Koti, the Timmins and District Hospital or St. John's Lutheran Church will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held. A public graveside service will be announced in the spring.
