DOWE, KURT Thomas
Kurt passed away peacefully on January 5th, 2020 at the Timmins and District Hospital after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s with his life partner Fay (née Ship) by his side. Loving father of Kathy (John) Wakeford & Mark (Pirjo) Dowe. Proud grandfather of Trevor & Tara Dowe and great-grandfather of Damien, Devin & Tristan. Dear brother of Thomas (Norma) Dowe.
Kurt was an avid hockey player and played on the Ontario Juvenile Hockey Team in 1955-1956 in which they won the All Ontario Championship. He loved being outdoors whether it was fishing or hunting. Kurt was a long-time employee of Placer Dome. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #287 for 31 years.
Donations to the South Porcupine Food Bank will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
As per his wishes cremation has taken place.
