Gone Fishing!

Len Grosvenor (1944-2021) has gone to that great fishin' hole up yonder, where there is no limit or slot size for pickerel.  He leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Connie, and his sister, Gail, of Ottawa.   Predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Evelyn, and his brothers, Dick and Jack.  Also left to mourn are his son, Darryl of Edmonton, AB, daughter Lisa (Justin) of Surrey, BC, and son Kevin (Matty) from whom he had been estranged for 20 years.  He leaves behind six grandchildren: David, Joshua, Brady Robbie, Jordan, Shaelynne and Ashley.  He loved his kids and grandbabies unconditionally and regretted that his health and the distance did not allow for visits.  He will be missed by his girl dog, Maggie, whom he loved dearly.  She was his constant companion on the back deck.

Our sincere thanks to Extendicare for their exceptional care and safety precautions during these Covid times, and especially to Len's favourite PSW, Ginette, for her caring and compassion.  She could always make him smile! Special thanks to Tracy at LifeLabs for the years of home visits and the joking and laughter that she brought to our home. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rick Kvas for his years of excellent care.

Our journey to the end of life is not an easy one, and Len could not have travelled this road without the faithful visits from his friend, Leo Derganc; Kelly and Luciano Torresan for their enduring friendship and assistance whenever it was needed, and for sharing their beautiful daughters', Alana and Mariah, growing-up years with us.  And a bouquet of gratitude to Glenn and Vicky Hart who were always there, and loved and cared for Maggie as if she were their own.

Cremation has taken place.  Due to Covid, a celebration of life will be held when we can once again gather and reminisce and tell "Lennie" stories.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a children's charity, do a good deed every day, and stay safe and well.
