Marjorie McKee Obituary

Marjorie Joan McKee (nee Furness), 82 years old, passed away quietly on the morning of March 17th, 2023.

She is pre-deceased by her husband Daniel McKee in 2003, and her two sons Leslie & Timothy Vautour. She is survived by her two sons: Chris Vautour (Ruth) and Doug Vautour (Vicky), and her daughter Catherine Stewart (Hugh). She will always be remembered by her grandchildren Merranda, Sheila, Christopher, Zachary, Danica, Quinn and Lane, and great grandchildren Ava and Sydney.

Marjorie immigrated to Canada by herself from England when she was only in her teens. She is going to be dearly missed by all her family “back home” who always lovingly welcomed her with open arms when she was able to return for visits over the years. She is pre-deceased by her sister Barbara Bardsley (Eric) and her brother Robert Furness (Carol). She is survived by her sister Jean White. She will be missed greatly by all her nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews overseas and in Canada.

When she came to Canada she successfully pursued Nursing School. Anyone who ever worked with her or received care from her during her decades as a nurse (at the Sudbury Memorial Hospital), didn’t soon forget the compassion and patience she offered to everyone.

She moved from Sudbury to Timmins in 2012 to remain near her daughter, son-in-law and grandsons Quinn and Lane. Nothing made her happier than being able to watch her grandsons grow up and spend time with them just as she did with her previous grandchildren that are now already grown.

As per her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. We will have a small, private family gathering instead. Arrangements entrusted to Stinson Funeral Home, 100 Bruce Avenue, South Porcupine, ON, P0N 1H0 (705)235-2900 www.stinsonfuneralhome.net
