In Loving Memory of
The family announces with profound sadness after a long battle with cancer the passing of Mary-Ann on February 2nd, 2021. She leaves behind her loving husband Kevin and her girlfriend puppy dog Meca. She will be sadly missed by her mother Angela Santaguida, her brother Frank (Suzanne) Santaguida, and by her sister Elizabeth Reid (Chris). Beloved aunt & zia of Amanda, Douglas, Michael, Gwendolyn, Josephine and by her brother-in-law Murray (Sharon) Nielsen.
Mary-Ann worked for many years as a teacher and then as a principal for the District School Board Ontario North East. She loved her job having worked with a lot of great teachers and staff. The students would always put a smile on her face. She especially enjoyed working with special needs children. Her summer life was spent at their camp with her family and friends. Her greatest treasures were her nieces and nephews.
Mary-Ann was predeceased by her father Domenico, her in-laws, Jeannine & Scottie and by her brother-in-law Daryl Nielsen.
Donations to Golden Avenue Public School for the high support classrooms, or Schumacher Public School for the Special Needs Program will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
Kevin and the family would like thank Dr. Kiersten Parr and Bayshore Nurse Amelie Lafleur for all their help and guidance throughout this journey.
