In Loving Memory of
Remijos, Mary
1921-2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Remijos announce her passing on Thursday April 8, 2021. She passed away peacefully with her daughter Rose by her side.
Mary was 99 years old. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Mary was actively involved in the activities of the Moose Lodge in South Porcupine. She was a spiritual woman and was involved in the Catholic Women’s League (CWL). She was an active member of the craft group in Ajax and loved knitting slippers, hats, and mittens for the homeless. She was instrumental in the opening of the first homeless shelter in Timmins (The Good Samaritan Inn) which was founded and operated by her daughter Rose Nadeau.
Mary is pre-deceased by her husband Stanley Remijos, her son John Remijos and her brothers, Rolland, Marcel, Paul (Madeleine), René (Rollande), Gérard (Irene), and Claude (Rita).
Mary is survived by her brother Roy (Mireille), Roger (Annette), her sisters Claudette, Lucille and Claire (Jean), her three daughters Mary Constantine, Anny Charbonneau, and Rose Nadeau, her sons Frank Remijos and Jerry Remijos, her twelve grandchildren, her 17 great-grandchildren and her great-great-grandson.
Due to current Covid-19 restrictions a private family service is being held. Friends may make donations in her memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
