It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Mervyn Schultz. Loving father of Brenda-Lee (Bree) Kaye (Mike), Laura-Lee (Twiggy) Schultz, Beverly Schultz, and Bradley Schultz. Treasured Grandfather of Devin-Ray Schultz/Hynes (predeceased), Adaisha-Bree Schultz, Jessica-Lynne Cusson, Zachery Fink (Sarina), Leda Schultz and Great Grandfather of Wyatt Ransom, Hunter Cusson, and Harvey Dool. Dear brother of Joyce Kennedy (Jim) (both predeceased), Shirley Camick (Jack) (predeceased), Francis McLellan (Richard) (both predeceased), Roy Schultz (Edith). Cherished Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by the mother of his children, Therese Schultz (Dupuis) and by his loving parents Lester and Olga Schultz (Beskau). Survived by his long-time partner Jenny Legault.
As a young man he enjoyed adventures on his motorcycle, snowmobiling with his brothers in law and others. Playing his guitar and singing with friends. He worked a long career as a Millwright at Kidd Creek Met Site. His favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, boating on the Frederick House, enjoying the great outdoors. In later years he passed down his knowledge in farming to Mike and Bree teaching them to plow, plant and harvest their large garden and also helped for many many hours of splitting and piling wood! His vast knowledge in these many areas will always live on in his kids.
He had an active social life catching up with friends at his favorite watering holes enjoying a draft or two … cheers to you!
Thank you to the staff at Spruce Hill Lodge and especially to those of you who treated him EXTRA special…You know who you are ..... thx
