In Loving Memory of 

JACKSIC, Nick 

1929-2020 

The family announces with sorrow the peaceful passing, at the Golden Manor, of Nick on July 29th, 2020 at the age of 91 years. Beloved husband of Catherine (née Pecaric). Loving father of Brenda Jacksic of Timmins, Ontario and Kathi (Chuck) Middleton of Calgary, Alberta. Cherished grandfather of Kyle Middleton(Cortney) of Charlotte, NC and Brock Middleton (Alicia) of Calgary, Alberta.  Nick leaves behind his sister Mary Stimac of Hamilton, Ontario. Nick was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mary Jaksic. Nick was born in Croatia and moved to Schumacher, Ontario in 1934 at the age of five years.  After attending Business College and three days on the job he came to the realization that office work wasn’t for him. A career in mining ensued spanning more than four decades with time spent at Coniaurum, Aunor, Stanrock in Elliot Lake, Kam Kotia and Placer Dome ending his career as a Mine Captain. 

Nick’s interests were many over the years with time spent playing in a band, playing baseball, snooker, curling, hunting, fishing, tinkering with his cars, wine, bread, sauerkraut and sausage making, as well as being a keen fan of hockey and baseball. 

Married to Kaye for 67 years his greatest pride and joy was his family, with his priority to spend as much time as possible with all creating many fun memories. He was much loved and will be greatly missed. 

Donations to a charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged by the family. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday August 4th, 2020 at 11:00 am at Stinson Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Whitney Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the Memorial Service on Tuesday August 4th, 2020 at Stinson Funeral Home, 100 Bruce Avenue, South Porcupine, (705)235-2900 www.stinsonfuneralhome.net 

The visitation room is set up to respect social distancing. Face masks are to be brought and worn at all times while in the funeral home. Thank you for your respect and cooperation.
