We are sad to announce that on December 6, 2023, we had to say goodbye to Norman George Passaw of Hoyle, Ontario. He is predeceased by his daughter Debbie and his parents Herta and George. He is survived by his wife Judy (Nielsen) Passaw; his sons Perry (Hillary) and Jason (Linda) of Porcupine, Ontario; his grandchildren Chrissy Passaw and Kalli Lavigne-Passaw; his great-granddaughter Emily May; and his sister Edna Olbrychski of London Ontario and her family. He will also be missed by his many good friends. Norm was raised on a farm in Hoyle, Ontario where hard work was instilled in him at a very young age. He continued farming in his early years with his wife and sons, while also operating the trailer park and the Holye Restaurant. In addition, Norm started a contracting business and later opened Passaw Limited with his two sons. Norm’s hard-work and no look-back attitude was instilled in his two boys who now have companies of their own. Norm was known to all that knew him as “Stormin Normin”, a nickname that stuck with him right till the end. Norm loved spending time talking to people, reliving the old days, and telling stories that will live on even though he has passed. The family plans to hold a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation.
