Patricia Constance Hebert

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother Patricia Constance Hebert (nee: Gervais) at Extendicare in Timmins, ON, on March 16, 2024, at 4:45 am, at the age of 86 years. Patricia was surrounded by family, light and love.

Patricia is predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Mae Gervais (pioneers of the Porcupine Camp), her brothers Wilfred and Jacques Gervais of Porcupine. Also, her grandson Jamie and son Douglas last July.

Patricia is lovingly remembered by her children Helen (James), Tracy, Elizabeth (Gus), Maria, John (Hilda), and Jennifer.

Gammy will be forever missed by her grandchildren Erin Rose, Joshua, Jae, Jason, Benjamin, Aaron (Nena), Kaylah (Andrew), Lyndsay (Allen), Hayley, and Christianna. Along with her great-grandchildren Angela, Owen, Miia, Carson and Aari. As well as her cousin Colleen, numerous nieces, nephews and cherished friends.

Patricia was born in Porcupine, ON on August 2,1937. She graduated Teachers College in North Bay, ON in 1957 and began her long teaching career. Patricia also obtained her AR from the Royal Conservatory of Music in 1955. Along with completing her Masters in Theology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1976.

Patricia moulded our children’s futures for 35 years, 14 of those years as the Music Consultant for the Northeastern Catholic District School Board (RCSS Board) in Timmins, ON. She retired in 1994 at 57 years of age.

Patricia enjoyed drawing, studying/collecting paintings, piano, bible studies, China collections, books, books and books. Her favorite season is Fall. How she loved long drives and all the beautiful colours of the changing leaves.

Her pride and joy was her family, who she loved endlessly.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or to Diabetes Canada will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

A Funeral Service will be held at Paroisse St. Joachim’s, 86 Crawford Street, South Porcupine, ON, P0N 1H0 on Friday March 22nd, 2024, at 11am.
