It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Pat Gryba. Pat is survived by his brother Charles Gryba (Gerry) of Toronto and his sister Beverly Arden (Brian) of Langley BC. Pat will also be sadly missed by his nephews Scott and Peter Gryba. Pat grew up on a mixed farm north of Invermay, Saskatchewan and was active with the army cadets and curling. After graduating high school, he moved to Thompson Manitoba where he worked for Woolworths. He managed the local sporting goods department and set up Woolworths new sporting goods departments across Western Canada.
In the early 1980’s Pat owned and operated two sporting goods stores, one in Medicine Hat and the other in Red Deer Alberta. In the mid 1980s he relocated to Timmins. Pat made his living as a claim staker and prospector and was well known in the Timmins exploration community. The family will hold a Celebration of Life later in May or June in Timmins. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to Stinson Funeral Home, 100 Bruce Avenue, South Porcupine, ON, P0N1H0 (705)235-2900 www.stinsonfuneralhome.net
