Paul Dukacz Obituary

In Loving Memory of

DUKACZ, PAUL

Paul passed way peacefully in Timmins on June 9, 2022 after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his parents, Antoni and Victoria Dukacz; his brother Julian Dukacz, and sisters-in-law Marilyn Dukacz and Kathryn Dukacz.
He is survived by brothers Albert of Mississauga, Stanley(Lynda) of Porcupine and sisters Lucy(Bob) of Kitchener and Jean in Ottawa. Paul will be fondly remembered by nephews Ryan Dukacz, Rick and Mike Levinski (Margie Hogg) and Stephen Dukacz (Lily Sung) and niece Krysha Dukacz (Sean Carey). He also leaves behind great nephews Declan Carey and Leo Levinski and great nieces Charlotte Levinski and Isla Carey.
Paul spent many years in the banking industry in Moose Factory, Matheson, and Kapuskasing. In his many years in Kapuskasing he generously helped the elderly prepare their tax returns.
In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers. He spent hours fishing with Stan and Lynda and spent most holidays at their home. On occasion Paul would travel with Stan and Lynda to visit relatives or explore new destinations. He enjoyed visiting Jean and touring the museums in Ottawa.
An avid reader, Paul and his brothers were known to pass around favourite books. Regular comparisons to the CBC’s reading list were common. The Saturday Star was a favourite.
With some trepidation Paul went blueberry picking on Stan’s annual quest to beat the previous year’s haul. Paul also enjoyed walking in Rene Brunelle Park.
Paul was a man of basic needs and simple pleasures.

The family are grateful for the care provided to Paul by the Timmins and District Hospital’s Emergency Department staff, Intensive Care Unit staff, Dr. Harterre, Dr. Detullio, and Dr. Levac. In addition the family would like to thank Extendicare Timmins for enhancing the quality of Paul’s life in the last year.

Donations to the Timmins and District Hospital ICU Unit will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
