It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Reijo while his family was by his side at the age of 59. Reijo was born in South Porcupine on February 19th, 1962. He is survived by his loving children Sean (Chelsey) and Kelly, as well as his mom Aila, his sister Pirkko (Jerry) and sister-in-law Judy. He is survived by his nieces and nephews Jennifer, Craig, Anne-Marie & Paul and their children. He leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins both in Canada and in Finland. Predeceased by his father Esko *1985 and his brother Eric *2012. Reijo worked as an IT specialist. He was also the biggest Toronto Maple Leafs fan along with his brother Eric. Whether they won or lost he stayed true to the Leafs. A very special thank you to his daughter-in-law who was there with him the last week. She would stay the nights and his sister and her husband would stay the days. A very special thank you to Dr. Vaithilingam and Dr. Ditullio for all the wonderful care they gave Reijo over the years. To the very special staff and nurses on Kamiskotia unit, Extendicare for the excellent care you gave him. You all became part of our family. Visitation will be held at Stinson Funeral Home on Monday August 9th, 2021 from 6:00p.m. to 9:00p.m.  A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday August 10th, 2021 at 10:00a.m at Stinson Funeral Home, 100 Bruce Ave., South Porcupine. Donations made to the Huntington Society will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
