Rejean (Reg) Sasseville

Born April 30, 1944

Death July 31, 2021 

 

It is with heartfelt sadness, the family announces the peaceful passing of Reg Sasseville, 77 years of age on July 31, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.

Predeceased by his father, John Sasseville, his mother Marie Sasseville (nee Gauthier), and his brother, John Claude Sasseville and grandaughter Amanda Campbell.

He is survived by his loving wife Christine (nee Koczur) of 58 grateful years, his 6 loving children, Maryann Sasseville (Cam Duquette),   Leah Sasseville, Teresa Langill (Rene), Shelley Langelier (Dave), Janice Legendre (Ian), Rejean Sasseville jr. (Kelly) and (papa) to all his 9 grandchildren, Lindsay, Megan, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Ashley, Meranda, Emily, Austin, Justin and great grandson Levi, who he loved so much.

He is also survived by his brother Denis Sasseville, His sisters, Pierette Ferrari, Diane Guindon, Claudette Sloan- McQuestion and his sister in law, Sharon Koczur and brother in law, Micheal Tiffany

Reg was a very loving and caring person, dedicated to his wife and family and anyone who needed his help.  He worked as Shop Forman for 28 years at Gorf Manufacturing before he retired in 2002. He had many fond memories of his buddies and co-workers at Gorf.

 Thank you to his many nieces, nephews, cousins and the cherished friends that shared Reg's life with love, laughter and happier times.

Special thanks to all those who assisted Reg in his illness, there are so many special people. Thank you Dr. Vaithlingham, Dr. Auger, the wonderful support team at Home Care, his Respite Care worker, Francis and his sister Claudette who were both so kind and caring assisting Reg,  all the great doctors and nurses working on the second floor and Hospice Care at T.D.H., our children and grandchildren and many others who did so much to help us during his illness. especially nurse Kelly and R.T. Lindsay.

Dad, (papa) we love you s o much. You did so much for us, loving and caring for us no matter what we did or said, you always helped in our journey of life together.  Your love for God and your family will always strengthen us through our lives now, until we meet again, we love you forever. In lieu of flowers, donations to T.D.H., Food Bank , Good Samaritan Inn, or a random act of kindness in memory of Reg, thank you from the family

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Stinson Funeral Home, South Porcupine

Funeral mass will be held at Paroisse St. Joachim’s Parish at 3pm. on Friday, August 6, 2021, luncheon afterwards.
