In Loving Memory of Fortier, Rhéal Henri 

1941-2023

The family announces with sorrow the passing of Rhéal on July 25th , 2023, at the age of 81. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years Marie Fortier (née Giguère). Loving father of Francine, Linda (Claude) Tessier, Suzanne (Bernie) McPherson, Sylvie (Paul) Lajeunesse and son Rheal Fortier Jr. Cherished grandfather of Charlene, Claude, Raymond, Daniel, Sonia, Mason, Chantal, Brale, Draven, Marcel, Logan, and the late Claude Jr, as well as many great-grandchildren. Rhéal was employed at Abitibi Price for 33 years where he became known as the Mayor of Tunis. He spent many Saturday nights watching his favorite hockey team, The Montreal Canadiens. As a fan he engaged in many banters with his Toronto Maple Leaf friends. He leaves an emptiness and great memories with his loved ones and will never be forgotten. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday July 29th, 2023, at Paroisse Saint-Martyrs-Canadiens in Iroquois Falls, followed by an interment at the Tunis Cemetery.
