The family announces with sorrow the passing of Richard at the Timmins District Hospital on the 23rd, of March 2022. 

Beloved husband of Suzanne Dumont (née Bélair) 

Loving father of Mario Dumont of Vernon, BC, Richard Jr. Dumont of Hamilton, ON, and the late Stéphane Dumont (July 30th, 1980) 

Cherished grandfather of Dylan Dumont (Brittany), Stéphane Dumont, Emylia Dumont and great-grandfather of Charlotte Dumont and Austin Dumont. 

Brother of Luce Parent (Jean-Guy) of Timmins, ON, Lise Godin (Gérard) of Rouyn QC, Céline Corriveau (Hughes) of Rouyn QC, Gisèle Rodrique (Raymond) of Rouyn QC and the predeceased by Pauline Thibault (2006). 

Richard was born in Rouyn QC and had been a resident of Timmins since 1956. He was employed at Kidd Creek for 35 Years. 

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged by the family. 

Cremation has taken place as per Richard’s wishes. There will be a luncheon held in his honor to celebrate his life on  Saturday April 2nd, 2022 at Notre Dame de la Paix (side entrance on Cameron Street), 288 Commercial Avenue, Timmins from 11 am to 3pm.
