August 23rd, 1943 – May 3rd, 2022

The family announces with sorrow the passing of Shirley (née Wootton) on Tuesday May 3rd, 2022 at the Golden Manor. Beloved wife of Noel. Loving mother of Dave (Laura), Brenda (Tony) and the late Ken Keyes. Cherished grandmother of David, Madison, Justin, Nicole, Andrew, Ryan and Scott. She will be missed by her siblings Barb Turgeon (Dan) and John Wootton (Kerry) and many nieces and nephews.

Shirley was predeceased by her parents Leola & Walter Wootton and by her siblings Nellie Cline, June Gourley, Jim Wootton, Joyce Dawn, and Walter aka Butch Wootton.

Shirley spent her earlier years at home raising her children and spent much time in the community working at Giant Tiger and also volunteered at the Good Samaritan Inn Thrift Store in South Porcupine. She belonged to the Porcupine United Church and assisted with taking care of incoming donations. She loved spending time at the cottage and in nature, and above all she loved her family very much.

Donations to the Porcupine United Church or the Alzheimer’s Society will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 am on Saturday May 7th, 2022 at Stinson Funeral Home.
